About Crossroads
There are some 6 million people in Britain who care for others.
Many of them reach a turning point, a ‘crossroads’ at which they feel they need help, where they simply need a break or more regular support.

Our services cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with an out-of-hours on-call service.
Dementia Expertise
Our in-house Dementia Champion provides specialized training and advice in dementia care.

We focus on the needs and wishes of both the carer and the person requiring care.

How Services are Funded
- Barnsley Council fund Crossroads Caring for Carers to provide some of our services to carers within the borough
- You may be entitled to a payment from your local council to enable you to buy services directly from us.
- You can pay privately for extra services to ‘top up’ what the council pay for.
- You can pay privately for all your services from us.
- We are able to offer additional support on occasions through receipt of charitable donations and funded projects.
